A reader who got tired of waiting for translations that never came — and decided to do something about it.
I’m a reader who fell in love with Chinese web novels — the epic scope, the slow-burn cultivation arcs, the found-family dynamics buried inside 2,000-chapter behemoths. But so many of the stories I wanted to read had no English translations, or had been abandoned halfway through.
So I started learning to translate them myself. Silk Road Translation is where I post the results.
My goal isn’t to be the fastest translator — it’s to produce something that reads like it was written in English rather than assembled from a dictionary. I spend extra time on idioms, cultural references, and anything that would read awkwardly if translated literally.
